Too school for cool

Finally we got to have our christmas holiday and me and a couple of friends were so happy that we started celebrating right away.

After a couple of shots I got tipsy as hell. I remember gettin alot of mood swings but luckly I didn't do anything too weird.

Another highlight of the day was when a friend gave me an early birthday present, which I totally didn't except. I was so happy to get Beyoncé's Midnight Heat  from KICKS and a friendship necklace with one of my favourite colors.

Next day I went on and celebrated with some other friends and we did the ordinary; baked, watched a bunch of movies and series, danced and more.

And now it's christmas time, Merry Christmahanakwanzika because fak mainstream!

It has been a cool educative experience that will really help me in my future education.

OK, you may be thinking (What is she trippin about?)

Well, these past two days, a guy and I got selected in our school for having shown a significant interest in mathematics, therefore we flew to Umeå to become a part of an organization. It is called “Sonja Kovalevsky-dagarna” and the idea has been - for the past 13 years - to make people more interested in maths.

To be honest, there were many of us expecting to see a lot of nerd-looking people, like a bunch of Sheldons with a somewhat wiseacre attitude. But I was proven wrong when I got to see the cool people who were social, funny and had the same interests as I.

Plus it felt like college, the fact that we weren’t that many people (just a little over a hundred) and we did see a great many lectures about mathematics in general, which also surprised me a lot because I didn't expect them to be that inspiring. Besides that we had a couple of math challenges and even singing challenges. At evenings some of us played poker, when others went to get wasted or watch das fussball when Sweden lost lol.

I think many of us agreed by the fact that we were treated as prince - and princesses, the food was sooo good and the hotel - just lovely. And before we took of, we got to take all the candies that they had for us and I took a whole bag of candy and chips. Then some of us took a night-train for 14 hours, which I found cozy. ^^

Ques & Ans

When I'm confused about some certain things and have no intention of bothering people with my weirdness, I ask my friend google. I thought I was being weird until I searched for weird but funny questions/answers on the website. And these are just a few of those that put a smile on my face. Not sure if some of them are just trolls or just stupid.

Oh Africa

My sister arrived to Sweden this weekend and thank god I nagged on her about the things I wanted her to bring to from our homeland, because she sure had a lot of baggage with her!

She also wanted to bring back some of our childhood memories, so she brought sweets and candies that we ate as kids, the food that I haven't eaten since the last African party I attended to. Some old pictures of us and my mom... I don't really have that many memories with my mom, because both her and my dad worked a lot when we were kids, so for my family in Burundi to let us have some of the pictures was really appreciated.

I was also very happy to see my sister, because I experienced a lot of difficulties during her time in Burundi. But I didn't want to bring up all the bad news right away. Instead my brother and my dad planned on guiding her around the city.

Later my brothers and I decided to take her down town to play billiard and ping pong at a really cool place, which included a bar, a club and many game areas. It's really a place to go, my siblings and I hadn't hung out in a long time this year rather than playing on the Xbox... so it was nice to do something else!

Senior VS. Junior

It's been almost two weeks since I started working with old people. It's me and another girl and our job is pretty much like being their friend; We roll them outside, sitting near a pond watching goldfishes swim, paint their nails in prettiful colours, play games like Fia med knuff (they love that shit) or videogames like Wii (but since we noticed how bad we were at persuading people), most of them just say they prefer to watch us play instead of joining us. As for singing we're like "Heyyy xxx, you look nice today! Do you think you can join and sing with us downstairs? I think you'll like it" and they be like "Nah, I can't sing. I think I'll just sit here and rest", but when the staff asks them to join they're like "Yeah sounds like fun!" and I be like "Really, wth?"

It may sound like a lot of things going on but the thing is, things I just mentioned represents only like 30% of the time. The rest of the time we just sit and talk to them. Sometimes I think we're getting paid for doing meaningless stuff, but that's actually what they want, as long as we manage to get the seniors in action then we're good to go! Anyways, even though the job is easy, I find it quite dull since most of them can't speak properly which makes it even harder for us to come up with fun things that they like to do (thank god I'm not the only teen). But I'd rather work with taking care of kids instead. They may be annoying, screaming, refusing to eat and stuff like that, but they're more fun to take care of and well, kids are easier to manipulate.

Old people on the other hand, want to manipulate ME instead, thinking I should feel sorry for them...But oh well I've noticed how less sympathetic I've become for each day. Especially after noticing that two of the old ladies were acting fake when I started; telling me they couldn't do things without my help, like getting up out of bed, chairs and stuff like that, that it's sweet of me for helping an old lady. Acting all helpless despite their ability of managing those little things without any physical assistance.

So I can by now say that it's stress-free to take care of elderly people, but boring as hell and vice versa when it comes to children. Eitherway it's better then not working at all.

Not sure if it's aimed for children. "Hey mommy look! I want that pink helium balloon, it is so kewt! :3 "

What girls really want

Adolescent dog-like

I have this friend who likes to watch series about vampires and such, who recently started watching Teen Wolf (I wasn't surprised hehe) He said it was really good and funny, and since I'm on my holiday I thought I give it a shot. But I know myself too well to say that I won't be able to follow the full story. I just don't seem to find time for watching series anymore, damn school :(

When I first heard of it I thought it was going to be like a sort of Vampire Diaries-wannabe, except with wolves. But it is different, actually really cool and exciting! A lot of action involving but also some comical acts. My favorite character so far is Stiles, a really funny and smart guy. Btw I'm still on the first season, incase (I doubt) you were thinking of spoiling anything...DON'T!
